COMMON ZYMETA PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

  1. Coin Mechanism Not Responding – this can be caused by the computer losing contact with the coin mechanism
Solution – insert user card, select Reboot Console in lower right corner. This will reboot machine, and the machine normally takes a few minutes to reboot so please be patient.
  1. Card Reader Not Responding – this can be caused by the computer losing contact with the card reader
Solution - if inserting the user card doesn’t work, press the black pushbutton on the lower left side of machine once. This should turn machine off. Press it once again to restart machine – be patient as machine takes a few minutes to start.
  2. Touch Screen Not Responding – this can be caused by the computer losing contact with the touch screen
Solution – insert user card, select Reboot Console in lower right corner. This will reboot machine, and the machine normally takes a few minutes to reboot so please be patient.
  3. Zymeta appears to be frozen, or “locked up” – once a month the machine does maintenance on the hard drive, which may cause the machine to be frozen. Normally this shouldn’t take longer than about 20 minutes. The screen shows albums, but will stay stuck on one screen and not respond to touch.
Solution – wait about 20 minutes. If machine hasn’t started, insert user card and select Reboot Console to restart machine. If inserting the user card doesn’t work, press the black pushbutton on the lower left side of machine once. This should turn machine off. Press it once again to restart machine – be patient as machine takes a few minutes to start.
  1. Machine is “dead” i.e. nothing on screen, no music, no videosomeone has either unplugged machine, or pushed the reset button on the side, or perhaps the breaker for the outlet the Zymeta is plugged into has blown.
Solution – make sure Zymeta is plugged in. If machine still doesn’t start, press reset button once on lower left side to start machine. Check outlet with a lamp or something to make sure power outlet works.
  1. Machine is working, but no music – normally this is caused by someone changing the settings on the amplifier/receiver.
Solution - If it is an amplifier we have supplied, make sure it is turned on and volume is turned up. It should be set to either CD or AUX. You can try pressing TUNER and see if you hear anything. If you hear hissing then the amplifier and speakers are working. If you hear nothing then check that the correct speaker button is turned on (normally A, but never A and B). Make sure display doesn’t say MUTE or TAPE MON.  If all else fails reset machine as described previously.
  1. Error/warning message on screenthis is caused by a communications failure between the Zymeta machine and the internet.
Solution – insert user card and press SYNCRONIZE WITH SERVER. You should see some activity above this button, then it should say FINISHED. If you get an error message, then likely the phone line or highspeed internet network cable has been disconnected from where our installer connected it. The machine will continue to operate up to 14 days without communicating.
